Wine: Lost Creek Winery Late Harvest (Alyce)

Review: This is a dessert wine based on Vidal grapes. It is a hybrid ice wine. The grapes are picked late, but not frozen on the vine, instead they are frozen at the winery before they were pressed. It is a very sweet wine with the full bouquet of flavors normally associated with Vidal wines. A good dessert wine.
Price: $25
Grade: 90

Nice pick, we enjoy visiting Lost Creek and the son's winery next door Hidden Brook as well. The Late Harvest is one of my friends favorite, as is the Vidal done next door in a sweet, but not so sweet sort of fashion. Thanks for the post, you just reminded me we are due for another trip to Lost Creek, Hidden Brook and Tarara very soon ! If ever staying in that area Lansdowne is a great spot and you can find great restaurant in Old Town Leesburg or right there at Lansdowne.
