Adler has a good post about changes in French wine marketing, at least at the lower end of the spectrum.

Which reminds me about a wine I found about a month ago called French Rabbit. The packaging and marketing of this wine are unique, a wine designed for campers and other outdoor activities.

Interesting, and at $9.00 a litre is not a bad deal.

Allan,

I saw that oddly packaged wine at Total Wine last weekend. I almost purchased it out of curiousity but passed it by for another $9 Merlot thats not bad (Les Barriques Luc Pirlet Merlot 2004).

Have you tried it ? Whats the verdict ?

Happy Sipping!

Have tried all 4 varietals. Very good value you for money - it is a 1 liter size (regular bottles are 750ml). NIce everyday drinking wine. I thought the Chardonnay and cabernet were the best.

I also tried all four wines. Very good value for money. I liked the Pinot Noir and Cabernet the best. Great for hiking and camping. May even take one of the French Rabbit wines on the next ski trip. My girlfriend sent me a love letter from their 'love letter generator'. Cute.
