Mouton Cadet

I saw this display at the grocery store in between displays of Australian wines and wine from Barefoot. It was nice to see a Bordeaux being not just competitive in price, but being prominently marketed in that manner.

Mouton Cadet is one of the best selling wines in the world with over a million cases produced every year. The wine itself is made up of 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc with grapes sourced from 300 different vineyards in Bordeaux. The wine is aged between 12-15 months before it is released.
