Chateau d'Yquem Goes Web 2.0

Chateau d'Yquem is one of the most famous Chateau in Bordeaux. According to legend, both Thomas Jefferson and George Washington always kept several bottles on hand, as did Alexandre Dumas and Jules Verne.

You wouldn't think a Chateau with the reputation of Chateau d'Yquem would embrace modern forms of marketing, but that is the paradox that is Bordeaux: willingness to experiment with the new, while maintaining respect for tradition.

With that, today Chateau d'Yquem announced the creation of mYquem (link is not live yet, check back later), the Chateau d'Yquem blog...you can watch the release video below:

In the meantime, you can follow Chateau d'Yquem on Twitter.

Update: I completely forgot to mention they also have a very active Facebook Page

Steve,

Bordeaux Gold (http://www.bordeauxgold.com) is a great blog and a tremendous resource for learning more about Sauternes. I thank you and Bill for doing such a great job.

Keep up or accept status quo. There is something said about old style methods though. I think it's great we have diversity.
