10 Wines for $10 to Fight Multiple Sclerosis

For the second year in a row The Virginia Wine Club is partnering with Jacki's Determined Soles to raise money to fight Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

From the National Capital Chapter of the MS Society website:
Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another. Today, new treatments and advances in research are giving new hope to people affected by the disease.

The event is this Sunday (August 15th) from 3:00 to 5:00 at the Chantilly Highlands Club House located at 3225 Kinross Circle in Herndon. I'll be one of the pourers :).

There will be wine from several local vineyards including Breaux Vineyards, Loudoun Valley, Fabbioli, Willowcroft, North Gate and Corcoran Vineyards. All wine is donated so any funds raised go directly to fight MS. In addition to the tasting there will be several door prizes including free tastings and I am going to donate a bottle of 1987 Silver oak Cabernet Sauvignon for the silent auction.

This is a fun event for a great cause, so please come out and support the fight against MS. If you can't make it consider donating through the Jacki's Determined Soles website.
