An odd quirk of mine when I enter into a new building is to search for security cameras. I like knowing when I am going to be on television (or security room monitors). I've seen some tasting rooms with discreet security cameras, but even those are rare. So I was surprised to see, in addition to other oddities in Temecula, every winery I went to had very obviously placed security cameras, along with big signs warning that patrons were being monitored.
I'm curious for those of you who run or work in tasting rooms: Do you use security cameras and if so, why (what behavior are you hoping to catch/deter)? How are they monitored and how long do you keep the footage from the cameras?
