More on the Salahi Virginia Wine Country Tours Scam

Back in December I wrote about the Salahi's Virginia Wine Tourism scam. Unfortunately, they seem to be continuing unabated.

The company they are operating under is Virginia Wine Country Tours and I have not been able to find a positive review of the service yet. Reader Amy sent in links to Trip Advisor and Yelp, both of which are filled with bad reviews of the service.

Once again, Virginia Wine Country Tours does not have special relationships with any wineries that I have been able to track down, the promises they make to their customers are flat out lies. I can't emphasize this enough: do not use Virginia Wine Country Tours, you will have a lousy time and will probably end up paying four tastings etc out of pocket (after being promised otherwise).

Allan...thanks for posting this vital info concerning the infamous Salahis. Please also note at their Oasis Winery website, Salahi's claim they are lining up a winery concert with Andrea Bocelli. Andrea Bocelli's booking agents have asked Salahis to remove this...its a total lie.

Salahis lost a lawsuit today in Arlington County Court for their Virginia Wine Country Tours business. It was won by default. Probably wise not to show up. Have on good authority that the Ag Dept/Consumer Protection Div. AND the Attorney General's office is investigating. Seems people are fed up with just suing the Salahis. More to come!

Wish I had done a little more research on this....I got scammed with this as well. Booked a wine tour for 18 people (~$1300.00). Tried to confirm that morning and got an email saying that it would be 11:45 AM instead of 11 AM due to weather. 12:15 came and went and still no show and no call (tried to call multiple times with no answer at their number). Made alternative plans and thankfully another company was able to get us moving about 1 PM.
