Virginia Wine Board Sponsors Circle of Wine Writers Holiday Party

You've probably noticed a flood of activity from some of the top names in Virginia Wine over in London this weekend. The Virginia Wine Board is sponsoring the Circle of Wine Writers Annual Holiday Party today.

The Cicle of Wine Writers is a group of wine writers, based in the UK but from all over the world, that includes top writers like Jancis Robinson, Neal Martin, Jane Anson, Natalie MacLean and Richard Leahy. They describe themselves as:

The Circle of Wine Writers is an association of authors, broadcasters, journalists, photographers and lecturers who are professionally engaged in communicating about wines and spirits. It was founded in 1960 by the late Cyril Ray and now has more than 270 members and, although most of the membership is based in England, the Circle has members in countries around the world.

Representing Virginia in London are: Chris Blosser, from Breaux Vineyards, Rachel Martin, from Boxwood Winery, Luca Paschina from Barboursville Vineyards and representatives from Williamsburg Winery and Philip Carter Winery.

Congratulations to the vineyards selected and to the Virginia Wine Board for a great opportunity.
