Budbreak Comes Early to Virginia Wine Country

Several Virginia winemakers are reporting budbreak in their vineyards. This is about 3-4 weeks earlier than usual, which could mean a long growing season. Of course, before we can get to the growing season we have to get through the frost. For right now, the forecast looks good with overnight temperatures not falling below the low 40s.

At this point, all we can do is remain optimistic and vigilant.

Of course, we firmly believe the old Internet adage, "Pics or it didn't happen." Therefore, we will post some pictures of budbreak this weekend!
